Bass/Mid drive unit:
The 5.25” 150w RMS/1000w transient bass driver is in a class of its own.
It is based on unique Hexatech technology whereby a hexagon shaped aluminium voice coil affords higher efficiency and power handling accuracy. In addition (EVC) External Voice Coil technology is used to enable excellence in sound accuracy and total balance. A double magnet combination of neodymium and traditional ferrite magnets result in an optimal magnetic field. Couple this with DPC cone material and you have one of the best bass drivers in the world.
Hi frequency driver:
This ultra Hi-End tweeter combines a flat pancake type motor construction with a high power neodymium magnet. The hand treated ACUFLEX soft dome and rear dampened chamber results in a clean crisp high frequency performance. The unit also has the same Hexatech voice coil technology as the bass driver, delivering high SPL with no distortion.
Cabinet construction:
The proprietary braced cabinet means that vibrations and unwanted resonance found in larger deeper cabinets have been removed. Two long ports run from the base of the cabinet and either side of the woofer. As the speaker is always mounted against the wall the ports can be tuned to match the on-wall response resulting in a much more accurate bass response. |
